Hello there I am happy to share my story of how I am getting more and more involved in the political process and drawn to the personality of Barack Obama. I am a German born immigrant who cam her to California almost 12 years ago. I am still not a citizen of this country and therefore cannot really vote. I could have become a citizen about 3-4 years ago. I did choose not to do that for one major reason. I am not standing fully behind the leadership of the country I am living, working, making wonderful friends, lead my live, meet the best woman of the world and marry her, get a child in the process which is among the most gratifying events in life, .... I build my self a life in this country. I do because it offers me so much joy to be here and lead my life here. When I look up on the top of the political leadership I become increasingly ashamed, embarrassed, sorry. I did not want to become an integral part of this powerful society that has a leadership so misguided in several fundamental ways. The 2008 presidential election campaign changed this for me in some fundamental ways. There was and is a man in the race that can bring people together, can talk full sentences with actual meaning, has a conviction to do good and the ability to do good; not only for this country but for the world. He radiates a level of optimism and has the ability to communicate it like I have not seen or heard before. It is a highlight to listen to him and see him act, bring people behind him, reach across and invite, to unite rather than divide this country. I am motivated to do much more than what my one vote could do, I am motivated to talk to people and open some eyes in this campaign. Don't get me wrong, I am a very active person, I have things to do, but I will take time out and dedicate it to this effort because I sincerely think this man is what this country needs right now. With all my conviction.
